Yes- and bought you such a wonderful gift! Just wait until you see it!
You cut your hair!
So your hair is...gone?
In this scene Della said she wanted to cut her hair for Jim and Hattie was not sure about it.
This is when they go to a place for Della to have her hair cut. She asked how much money she could get and the Madame said $20 so she said ok cut it off.
I sold my watch to buy you combs.
This is when Della shows Jim her hair and is so happy about it and Jim is very surprised about it and doesn't know if he can believe it cause he loved her long hair so much.
So Della cuts her hair so she can get money from it so she can buy Jim an amazing gift that he will love, but when Jim sees her hair he is kind of confused and sad cause he loved her long hair so much.
At The end on the poem Jim sat down and told Della that he sold his watch to buy her combs. Then they Started to slime at each other and then they had their Christmas Eve supper.
