Storyboard Text

  • " For Banquo's issue have I filled my mind... To make them kings, the seeds of Banquo kings".( Shakespeare 3.1. 70-75)
  • One thing Macbeth feared was losing the throne, and the power that comes with it. The witches prophesied that Banquo's son would be king, which is a threat to Macbeth's position
  • To represent Macbeth's inner weak side, I chose a cracked egg. Just like Macbeth's mental state it cracks under the pressure because of his actions.

  • I chose a Lion to represent Macbeth's power. Throughout the play, the audience watches as Macbeth fights to attain and keep his position on the throne.
  • " Methought I heard a voice cry ' Sleep no more! Macbeth does murder sleep'..." (Shakespeare 2.2.47-48)
  • After Macbeth kills Duncan, he was on his way back to his chambers when he thought he heard someone. This scared Macbeth because it would mean someone witnessed the murder and he would be caught, and most likely killed for his treasonous actions.

  • Macbeth's internal conflict was if he should be punished for the murders he committed, and aided, which also meant he would lose the power and the throne. His resolution was that life was meaningless and repetitive, and he realized how his decisions made his life terrible. I think Macbeth was depressed, but also relieved. He came to the conclusion that there is only death waiting for him in the end, but because of the way his life turned out, he was ready for it.
  • " Tomorrow and tomorrow and tomorrow / Creeps in this petty pace from day to day / To the last syllable of recorded time, / All our yesterdays have lighted fools / The way to dusty death. Out, out, brief candle! / Life is but a walking shadow, a poor player / That struts and frets his hour upon the stage / And then is heard no more.   • I chose to do my project on Storyboard That, because I'm not confident in my art skills. At first I was having trouble deciding what I wanted to do for this project, but then I remembered having fun while using this website in Middle School, and I just went with it. I'm glad I used this because I'm saving everyone's eyes from my artwork and it was easier to create the sets and characters. Through this project I wanted to convey that Macbeth feared losing his position and being caught / punished for his actions. I also wanted to share that though he is powerful he is also weak, and was definitely not happy with the way his life turned out, but in a way was relieved it would come to an end.
