- Ziauddin gets very disturbed that Malala's picture on the wall is tilted. He asks Malala's mother to fix it in an unusually sharp tone.
- Later that same week, Miss Shazia arrives at school crying hysterically. She had a premonition that Malala gets hurt and that Ziauddin should donate rice to the poor to save her.
- On the way to school, a member of the Taliban stops the bus. He asks “Who is Malala?” and everyone looks at her. The Taliban member figures out who she is and shoots her.
