- Macrophage displays pathogen's antigens. This display of antigens helps activate other immune cells.
- Helper T cell links with antigen displayed from macrophages. The helper T cell activates a B cell.
- The macrophage goes away and the B cell connects to the helper T cell.
- The B cell separates into a plasma B cell and memory B cell. The plasma B cell tages a pathogen with an antibody, so the pathogen can't infect any cells.
