- Did you change my skin color?!
- So if I am Filipino, why am I white?
- Hey dad, is Carolina adopted? You said we have the same DNA but our skin is different.
- I come from an Italian and Lebanese background, and both of my parents have light skin.
- Your skin doesn't represent everything that you are. All you have to do is remember where you came from, and don't let anybody tell you different.
- No, Sebastian, Carolina is not adopted and neither are you. Skin color normally stems from your heritage. Your mother and I have different heritage. My mother is Filipino and darker, whereas my father is Italian and Irish, with lighter skin.
- No, Seba, we never changed your skin color. You have your very own DNA traits that make you 100% unique. Your DNA decided that you're going to have a lighter skin tone, whereas Carolina's decided she would have a darker one.
