- I'll give you instructions that are very important that you must always prepare before any earthquakes occur: 1.) Make sure you have a fire extinguisher, first aid kit, a battery-powered radio, a flashlight, and extra batteries at home2.) Learn first aid3.) Learn how to turn off the gas, water, and electricity4.) Make up a plan of where to meet your family after an earthquake5.) Don't leave any heavy objects on shelves6.) Learn the earthquake plan at your school or workplace.

- In situations like this you always need to "STAY CALM", or you'll get dangerously hurt.
- During earthquakes you always need to remember to "STAY CALM", and: - if you are indoors stand against a wall near the center of the building, stand in a doorway, or crawl under heaver furniture. Stay away from windows outside doors.

- Wear heavy or thick shoes to be protected from broken glasses. · Anticipate and prepare yourself for aftershocks this could be lead to further damages on already weakened structures.· Listen to the radio for instruction on public safety.· Check for potential safety hazards and building damages such as cracks around the walls and foundations.· Check if there are any spilled bleaches, medicines, gasoline, and other flammable liquids and clean it up.· Check the appliances, electrical lines, water, and gas for damage.· Check for any injury and use the first aid kit.
