Okay class, aside from the three postulates we have another tenet of the Cell Theory and it says, "All cells are basically the same in chemical composition in organisms of similar species." Can anyone give an explanation about this? How about you, Precious?
Ma'am? Well.. wait lang po..(*thinks deeply) We have to keep in mind that it is subject to "organisms of similar species". You cannot expect that a certain organism will have cells with the same chemical compositions to those organisms of different species. It doesn't work that way, am I right Ashley and Bogart?
Next, how about you, Christian? And please, maximize your voice.
The tenets are correlated with one another. Just like in this case, organisms of similar species have the same chemical composition of their cells because cells contain hereditary information (DNA) which is passed from cell to cell during cell division. In this process, new cells form but their chemical composition is still the same from preexisting cells where they came.
