Once upon a time there lived a handsome young man, seemingly with a lot of friends and a popularity only someone could ever dream of. It was almost as if he had the perfect life; an attractive face, the most perfect muscular build, family and friends who loved him. What was there not to love and enjoy?
He hid from his loved ones that he was being tormented by the people in the city because he was embarrassed. A tall, handsome, muscular guy being tormented was unheard of, right? So from then on, the man faked a smile and never once did he tell a soul. Not even his most trusted fellow, another handsome man, whom he has fallen in love with. Was that the reason why he was being teased? Because he was in love with another man? He did not know, and wasn’t going to ask.
As much as he had taken the teasing for years on end, something inside him……snapped. It was like a string was attached, pulled, couldn’t take anymore and practically ripped. That was him. Heart hammering in his chest and a ringing to his ears, he didn’t think when he grabbed the most glistening sword; his pride and joy. It was like his own very body was moving by itself. No control.
Infamous is what he earned, a title he never would’ve thought would be given to him. Everybody was afraid, because he killed each and every one who teased him, getting revenge for all the lost time he could’ve had with the man he loved. He was now, instead of that smiley handsome young man he always was, a stone cold killer who only had a taste for blood. He couldn’t stop, for he was getting revenge. Until that very moment, where his loved one was standing straight in front of him, blocking his way to one of his victims.
“I have always loved you,” the man in front of the killer said, “but I simply cannot let you kill this person. No more.” The stone cold killer was stunned, tears in his eyes. Dropping his sword, he couldn’t speak because he was ashamed. Finally, he had control of his body. Sirens. More sirens. “There’s nobody in this world that could ever take your place.” The man in front of him whispered, hugged him and finally gave him the kiss he always wanted.
Put in prison for his crimes, he willingly and understood why he was being held accountable. And even though he had killed many people, he still had people who loved him. His lover was always there beside him as well, and always told him he’d wait for him to do his time and to finally get out. He was loved. And for that, was he regretful and ashamed of his actions.
