- My definition
- I Michelangelo live in Florence Italy and I lived 88 years. I was a many sided genius, a sculptor, engineer, and a architect. I Michelangelo shaped marble into my most famous masterpiece called the Pieta.
- One of my greatest projects was painting a huge mural to decorate the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel in Rome. This was a big task which took over 4 years. This piece of work made me a humanist because it showed God bringing the first man to life with touch, Which gets people thinking and respecting me, It also shows what I think is important.
- Humanism is a movement in which humanist tried to get the focus off of religion and on events in the present. I Richie Sjoberg believe Michelangelo is a humanist because his artworks and sculptures projected an important religious event, also his paintings contain a lot of things and secrets that really make you think. For example in Pieta Michelangelo captures the sorrow of Mary as she cradles the dead Christ on her knees.
