In Feb 1961, The FMDM Sisters Franciscan of the Divine Motherhood came to St Mary of the angels Nathalia and opened it. The buildings were built through fundraising and donations. The church provided the land.
College Split
In 1975, Three classrooms were financed through Mr and Mrs Martin Bourke. Mr and Mrs Martin Bourke did this and help the school beginning to develop into an amazing school.
Secondary College
1976, Bus system began. Tocumwal/Cobram students travelled daily. More people could come to St Marys. Larger bus from Cobram / Tocumwal and first bus from Numurkah, 35 students Cobram / Tocumwal / Strathmerton, 18 students Numurkah
New Buildings
1977, Primary school split from SMOTA, Primary school moved to new site. Secondary school remained on original site. Primary school named St Francis Primary School.
1978, Sister Anne Kiely negotiated to share teachers and resources with the Nathalia secondary college. When they joined resources there was a larger subject choice.
At the end of 2019 The year 7 building opened (San Rufino) It is named after the church in Assisi where St Francis first began his devotion to God. The year 10 building (Lady well) got finished in 2018, June
