Soldiers forced everyone out of the refugee camps and out of Ethiopia. Hundreds of people panicked and started to run everywhere. Soldiers chased everyone to Sudan.
There was a problem, The Crilo River, The border between Ehiopia and Sudan. It was well known for crocodiles. and in the rain, the currents would be merciless.
As the soldiers forced people into the water, some willingly jumped and swam. The powerful current swept the people down stream as crocodiles swam in.
Crocodiles swam and pulled people under. Salva finally jumps in and swims for his life. Soldiers started to shoot people, killing many. Salva was pulled under as the boy that took him down, was shot in the head, saving Salva's life.
Crocodiles were moving off the banks, soldiers shooting a rain of bullets, pouring rain, mad current, and the screams of the other people were happening at once.
Salva got out of the water and they all began to walk, not knowing where, salva walked south to kenya. leading about 15 hundered boys and encouraging them to keep walking. He and his group go to kenya in a year and a half walking.
