  • Newton's First Law of Motion states, An object at rest will remain at rest. Such as this box.
  • Newton's First Law
  • Unless acted upon by an outside force, an object in motion will continue with constant speed and direction unless acted on by an unbalanced force
  • The acceleration of an object depends on the mass of the object and the amount of force applied. If an object has a large mass, like this van, it will have a slower acceleration.
  • Newton's Second Law
  • If an object has less mass, it will have greater acceleration.
  • Newton's Third Law
  • For every action force, there is a reaction force equal in strength and opposite in direction. An example is a book on a table.
  • The book is exerts a force on the table (due to gravity) and the table reacts with an equal and opposite force.
