Storyboard Text

  • It is 1765 and Britan is in debt due to the French and Indian War. George Grenville made the Stamp tax for the colonists, and King George is going to use it.
  • I finished the Stamp tax for you, King George!
  • Great! Now that we are taxing the colonists, we can pay for the French and Indian War.
  • The colonists are very angry at Britan for the Stamp Tax. They have to pay extra for every printed item they buy.
  • Why are they paying us? This is not right, us Americans should be individuals to Britan!
  • This is fine, I can already pay all of my taxes!
  • This isn't fair! Britan will pay!
  • Patrick Henry, a Virginian lawyer, makes a speech about the Stamp Tax.
  • And I say, we shouldn't have to pay for this! We shall do something about this!
  • John Adams organizes the Sons of Liberty and leads the protest against the Stamp Tax.
  • We are the Sons of Liberty! We will act and stop this maddness!
  • Yeah! It is time to act! This will end! We will succeed!
  • King George III states that Britan does have to right to tax the colonists.
  • You colonists are mad! Great Britan has complete rights to tax yous if we must!
  • But maybe this is getting out of hand...
  • I, King George III, ruler of Great Britan shall close the Stamp Tax. But it return, I shall propose a new tax on tea and wool.
  • After the new tax is used, this makes colonists even angrier and they spark the revolutionary war.
