- There was a population of mice in the artic, with no natural predators. Since there was no natural predators, they did not need to adapt, so they were all different.
- Wow life is so good, this place does not have any predators!
- So true, we should always stay here!
- However, due to global warming, the ice got split and the mice got split up.
- Woah, why is the ice splitting!
- AHHHH, its splitting! What shall we do!
- Due to pure luck, a group of dark colored mice were able to escape and find a island to live on. However, with the island came new problems...
- What is this new place, and why are there snakes eating us...
- Mice, yummy!
- AHHH, LOOK OUT!!!
- With the snakes attacking, the mice's numbers quickly declined. However, after a few generations, a sand colored mouse was born.
- Stop eating us please!
- No, you are delicious!
- Wow look, my child is a sandy colored mouse, so weird!
- I blend in well, so no snakes are after me.
- Since the sandy colored mice was able to blend in, it was able to hide and pass its traits along, so there was more sandy colored mice
- These sandy colored mice are so hard to find.
- Ahh, I still stand out, the snakes are still after me.
- We are all sandy now!
- As being sandy colored was a good advantage, after many generations all of the mice were sandy!
- Dang these mice are good at hiding!
- Where did all the mice go????
- I can blend in with the sand!
