Storyboard Text

  • I am very sagacious and stealthy.
  • It is merely a cricket which has made a single chirp.
  • Who's there?
  • *scream*
  • The narrator cautiously proceeded to advance into the room of the elderly man. He was extremely nervous and planned to murder the old man because of his repulsive eye.
  • The narrator was about to open his lantern when his thumb slipped upon the tin fastening. Immediately, the old man got up. He tried to comfort himself, although, they were all inefficacious.
  • I think trifles are too sweet.
  • Why, trifles are delicious!
  • Trifles are too spicy and sour.
  • The sound of the old man's heart gave the narrator courage. The sound grew louder, and the narrator thought a neighbour might hear it. At last, he knew the old man's time has come. He pulled the bed over the old man, and eventually, his heart stopped beating.
  • Dissemble no more! I admit the deed!
  • Villains!
  • The narrator dismembered the old man's corpse and used a tub to catch all the blood. Afterwards, he carefully hid all the body parts under the floor boards.
  • How wise I am. No one will ever know!
  • A neighbour heard a scream and called the police. The police came, and since the narrator was so confident, he allowed them to stay and rest. After a while, he heard a ringing in his ear and spoke with a heightened voice and more fluently. He wished they would leave, but they kept talking about trivial matters.
  • Trifles are bitter and salty. They are not good.
  • Finally, the narrator could bear it no longer. He confessed to the police that he was responsible for the crime.
