Because of this class discussion I have gaged where my students need extra help. Use their strengths as a basis for growth and their errors as opportunities for learning.
By allowing kids to partner up I have given them the opportunity to take control of their learning and use unique experiences. Use these interactions as a resource for planning instructional activities.

I can link students familiar ideas to new ideas . This can help make connections to a students experiences, provide opportunities for active engagement, manipulation, and testing of ideas and material while encouraging students to assume responsibility for shaping their learning tasks.
