This storyboard is about the book, The Call of the Wild by Jack London. This story is about Buck(a dog), being able to adapt to the Wild and going from a nice warm and welcoming Sunkist Clara Valley to a harsh cold Klondike forest weather. I hope you enjoy my illustrations of the book.
In this portion of the story Buck is introduced to the wild. He starts to adapt to the harsh environment and learns who is the Alpha and how to act and when. He also is introduced to characters such as the man in the red sweater, Francios and Perrault and many more. He learns the ways of the wild.
In this part of the book, Spitz and Buck fight for the throne(Alpha). This is an important scene to the story because it shows how Buck starting to understand the ways of the wild. It also is important because it is when Buck becomes the Alpha and can now show the ownership of it and put the bully down.
The Climax of the story is definitely when John Thornton and all the other dogs except Buck get killed. Buck comes back from hunting to find Thornton and the other dogs dead. He sees the Indians that killed them and slashes their throats while some get away.
In the Falling Action of the story Buck meets a wolf out in the wilderness, So basically this leads into the Resolution of the story, but Buck hears a call in the wilderness and goes out to it and he finds this wolf and they become friends.
Basically the book ends with Buck joining the pack of the Wolf he met earlier in the story. Now that he does not have John Thornton anymore he does not really have a "family". So Buck moves on and he lives with the pack and is considered a wolf. So yeah I guess this is the part where I say they lived happily ever after, The End.
