The Persians are a non-Arabic ethnic group. They mainly speak Persian and Farsi. Most Persians in Iran follow the Shi'a Islam religion, but Persians in the east still follow the Sunni Islam religion. Small groups of Persians still follow the pre-Islamic faith of Zoroastrianism in Iran. Persians are located in Iran, Afghanistan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, the Xinjiang province of China, United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Iraq, Kuwait, Oman, Azerbaijan, and North Pakistan.
