- It was the festival of spring. The child and his parents were going to the fair. While going the child was fascinated by the toys in a shop .
- He was also fascinated by the dragon flies, insects, butterfly .He also heard the cooing of doves and ran to find them and then entered the fair.
- At the fair he saw sweetmeat seller and also flower-seller also but he knew that his father would never buy him these things as they would say that he was greedy an the flowers were cheap.
- He also saw snake charmer but he did not hear the tune played by the snake charmer because his father had forbidden him to hear such coarse music.
- At the fair he also saw a man holding many balloons but he he knew that his parents would never buy him balloons. He told his parents that he wanted to go on a roundabout but when he got no reply he turned back and saw that his parents were not there.
- He got scared and confused and started running. A man in the crowd heard him crying and came to him and showed him all the things that the child saw at the fair. But the child was not interested as he was lost.
