Storyboard Text

  • We've given the children everything they ever wanted. Is this our reward-secrecy, disobedience.
  • We're thinking of turning the whole house off for about a month.
  • That sounds dreadful. I would have to tie my own shoes and brush my own teeth.
  • This room is their mother and father, far more important in their lives than their real parents.
  • In this scene the dad talks about how they provide everything for the kids, they basically spoil them yet the kids still don't listen. I think the point Ray Bradbury is trying to relay is that the more you give your kids the more they will need. They will always expect something else from you.
  • In this scene the dad talks about shutting down the house and Peter starts complaining about how much he would have to do. Ray Bradbury starts going on about the concept of humans relying on technology. Even though he wrote this long ago he just knew. He's saying the more technology helps us , the lazier human will get.
  • In this scene the family psychologist says that the room basically replaces them. I feel like the main point Ray Bradbury is trying to get across is that kids may be influenced more by trends, celebrities and technology than they are by their parents.
