- I miss our house.
- I wish I could help him feel better.
- I am so tired and I just want to go home. I need water!
- The whole family is saying goodbye to their house because they have to walk to a new, safe place. Papa is telling Nisha and Amil that they should only bring necessities for their long journey.
- There is only a few more miles left until the border.
- There is no water anywhere.
- They start walking to the new India with hundreds of others who are also fleeing the country in search for safety.
- We are going to complete this journey together!
- Water! Yes!
- Everyone is very tired and thirsty because they ran out of water in the middle of their migration. Amil and Dadi are getting very weak so they are taking a break for a while.
- Thank you mama for keeping us safe. I knew you were looking over us.
- We made it!
- I am so proud of all of you.
- They have been walking for two days and Amil will not survive if they do not find water. Their new home is the only thing motivating them to keep going.
- Suddenly, while they are walking in the dry climate, it starts heavily raining. Amil drinks the water and he is able to walk to their new home.
- Nisha, Amil, Papa, and Dadi finally reach their new home in India. Nisha realizes that even though her mother is not physically with her, she is always keeping them safe.
