- Reasons to Fight
- We need a victory for once.
- Battle of Fredericksburg
- New General
- I will be your new General.
- The new general named General Burnsides decides to attack Richmond again after a loss. General Burnsides replaces McClean because he didn't pursue the Confederates.
- Battle of Chancellorsville
- Burnsides decides to attack the Confederate uphill into the town. The Confederates beat the Union easily because they are dug into the hill above the town and well protected.
- Suprise Attack
- Its almost dawn. We will attack soon.
- We're walking to our own graveyards.
- Well I'm gonna be discharged.
- After the defeat at Fredericksburg, General Burnsides is replaced by Joseph Hooker, who is seeking a victory for the Union.
- Stonewall Jackson's Death
- Hooker decides to divide his army to attach Lee at Chancellorsville. Hooker's men outnumber the Confederates greatly. Although there are more soldiers, the Union is nervous about this battle, causing them to not do the greatest. They are nervous because General Lee is known for always winning.
- We are obviously going to win.
- Lee also decides to split up his army. He does this by having half of his soldiers go through a trail in the woods to face the side of the Union. When it was dawn, the army attacked from both the front and the side. This causes Lee to have a sense of Invincibility, as the odds were not in his favor but he won.
- Stonewall Jackson, a General for the Confederates, got shot during this time and died. This is because when he was riding back to camp, his own men thought he was an enemy and shot him.
