- Mrs. Malone kills her husband
- "So I’ve killed him."
- Mrs. Malone allegedly finds Patrick dead
- “Quick! Come quick! Patrick’s dead!”
- The police men ate the murder weapon (Lamb)
- "Personally, I think it's right here on the premises"
- "Probably right under our very noses. What do you think, Jack?"
- *giggles*
- "Mrs. Maloney simply walked up behind him and without any pause she swung the big frozen leg of lamb high in the air and brought it down as hard as she could on the back of his head."
- After killing Patrick, Mary went to the store in able to create an alibi for herself. She wanted to interact with a person to seem innocent before she was supposed to find Patrick. When she got home, she pretended that she saw him on the floor and started to sob and scream. She then called the police acting frantic.
- Mary offered the lamb to the police men. At first they politely refused; however, because of their pity they agreed. The irony was that they stated that the weapon was close and little did they know that it was filling their stomachs.
