- Exposition
- The story begins by introducing Josh Bell, who is nicknamed "Filthy McNasty" due to his appearance, who boasts how good he is while dribbling. The stroy also introduces Jordan Bell, also called JB(Josh's brother), and Chuck Bell, nicknamed "Da Man" (his father).
- I am the next Kevin Durant, LeBron, and Chris Paul.

- Okay.
- While at a basketball game, JB makes a bet with Josh and Josh loses the bet, but Jordan cut 5 of Josh's locks instead of 1. Josh and Jordan meet a girl they've never seen before, and they proceed to fall in love. Jordan also begins to pay less attention to Josh.

- Climax
- Josh and JB were doing free throws with Chuck, but he starts choking, and sprays water at the boys. Josh finds JB and the girl, Alexis, at the library, and Josh gets furious. Josh gets angry at the next basketball game and threw the ball hard into Jordan.

- Falling Action
- Josh got suspended from the basketball for his actions and JB's relationship with Josh worsens and he wins the next basketball game. Chuck has hypertension(high blood pressure) and faints while practicing with the boys.

- Resolution
- Chuck is in the hospital from a heart attack and family and friends visit during Christmas eve. Josh wins the basketball game without Jordan. Chuck dies in the hospital.
