- Pearl Harbor was attacked by Japanese bombers on December 7th, 1941 which set off a chain of events that led to the US involvement in WWll. The US was previously neutral but due to the attack became a part of allied powers with Great Britain, France, China and Soviet Union.
- Due to the attack on Pearl Harbor, the US harshly treated Japanese-Americans and sent over 100,000 Japanese to internment camps. Along with the Japanese, the US also sent thousands of German and Italain to these camps due to being allied power.
- Because of the executive order set by Roosevelt, the majority of Japanese-Americans lost their homes and properties forever once they were forced to vacate.
- During WWll over 1.5 million African-American men were having to fight against the Axis powers and trying to keep the Japanese to have no rights, while still fighting for their own rights.
- Both during and after WWll discrimination against Japanese, German, and Itaian-Americans was a huge issue which continued to the poor treatment
