- When Jesus grew up, He helped people turn to God. He started His ministry at about the age of 30, spreading the Word of God. God had planned for Jesus to be the Messiah for many years, knowing that the people were starting to turn away from Him. Jesus' death and Resurrection was also planned, a sacrifice for our sins. It was important that Jesus followed God's will, even though it came with death. When Jesus resurrected, Mary was there with Him. Joseph was not mentioned in Jesus' adulthood, so it is assumed Joseph had died. Mary cared for Jesus as a mother, helping Him as a kid all the way to his adulthood. Joseph had followed what the angel said about Jesus, and listening even though he could have dismissed it as a dream. He had put his trust in God, just like when Mary said yes.
- We look up to the Holy Family for guidance and in times of need. They are an example of how God wants us to live with our own families, to help each other and care for each other. In our families we have to go through the hard times together, just like how Joseph and Mary went through a lot of criticism and hard journeys. They had to travel all the way to Bethlehem where Jesus was born, and then had to travel to Egypt to escape from King Herod. Our parents work hard to give us a good life, just like Mary and Joseph. They did what they had to for Jesus' safety, and had faith in God's plan.for them. They're the example of how God wants us to live out life, to care for our family and have faith in God.
