- Djd you know that black holes actually evaporate.
- Oh, I didn't know that. Im going to ask Mahatma Gandhi on how that works.
- So, basically,As a black hole radiates, its mass decreases, and it starts emitting more and more radiation, causing it to evaporate more and more rapidly. Lets ask Albert Einstien about how it relates to the Steven Hawking's theory of radiation.
- The particle's identical partner is subsequently accelerated away at a very high speed, taking a tiny amount of energy away from the black hole. In honor of Stephen Hawking, who first observed the phenomena, this results in what is referred to as Hawking radiation. This process can really lead a black hole to contract and finally fade away over extended periods of time since energy equals mass.
