- Son, I am sorry to tell you that your grandpa is sick. I'll have him call you when he wakes. Love you.
- Namir ponders his life over the balcony. He is thinking of his accomplishments: high school graduate, high school skilled athlete (hooper), married man, college graduate with a degree, airman of the year, pilot in training.
- The Feels
- Namir is reminded of who brought him to where he is today. He thinks of his grandpa and calls him to check in.
- Grandpa's Call
- Hey son. I don't have much time left so let me say this... I am so proud of the man you are today. The news of what you're doing keeps me going. Just know I'll always be with you. Keep grinding. Old man loves you.
- Son, your grandpa is sick and he's in the hospital. Mom fills him in of the details and hangs up. Namir knows he can't come home right now so he becomes sad.
- Namir returns home from work. He is devastated at the news and tries to cope. He tries to focus on his purpose and work hard for his grandpa.
- Grandpa speaks to Namir one last time. Namir feels this message deeply and cherishes this moment with his grandfather.
- Namir takes the loss of his grandpa as fuel to keep him working harder. He never stops grinding and he does it for his grandpa. Grandpa will always be with him in spirit, watching over him.
- I feel your spirit Pops. I feel you.
