Mr Gobandi, I did all the exercises, but I struggle at question number 5a
Hello everybody. Welcome back to today's math class! Happy to see you all
Everyone please get out your homework from last week I am going to come around and collect them
Me to
Did anyone else have problems with this question
Yes me
More children raised their hands
Okay, No Problem! Let's go through it all together then
let's begin. Question 5a you said?
Okay lets begin! Let's start by multiplying the 3 and the 8 together, which gives us the product of 24
To find the product of the variable "a" we have to multiply the a^2 together with the "a" from the opposite side. The high tells us how often a is multiplied .So, a x a = a^2 now to postpone the "a" from the other side to the same side as the other "a´s" you have to multiply a^2 by "a" again. So a x a= a^2 x a = a^3 or easy explained a x a x a=a^3
Moving on! Now that we have the product 24 lets move on and find the product of variable a.
In the last step, you add the numbers and variables in the order in which you calculated them. Pay attention to the variables, write them in the correct order in which they are lined up. For example, if ab equals ab, it must remain ab, and you must not rearrange it.
Same with finding the the product of the variable "b" we have to start by multiply the "b" together with the b^3 from the opposite side. So, b x b x b = b^3 now to postpone the "b" from the other side to the same side as the other "b´s" you have to multiply b^3 by "b" again. So b x b x b= b^3 x a = b^4 or easy explained b x b x b x b=b^4
Yes, we do thank you, Mr Gobandi!!
Great job everyone, I hope you understand it now!
