  • The Dust Bowl
  • The Dust bowl was one of the events that took place during the Great depression. It took place in the south, affecting many people. Caused by poor farming practices, drought, and over production of crops, it has impacted the Great Depression greatly.
  • Poverty
  • Before people went into poverty they were living rich and happy lives. People had good jobs and unemployment rate wasn't as bad before the Great Depression
  • Banks Losing Money
  • BANK OF CITIZENS
  • Before the Great Depression people put their money in the banks so they can safely save their money in their bank accounts.
  • Effect of the Dust Bowl
  • Because of the Dust Bowl lots of farmers are forced to migrate to find jobs and find better lives.
  • Effect of Poverty
  • HOOVERVILLE
  • After the stocks crashed and people lost money, many became unemployed and poor. Areas called hooverville are extremely poor areas and named after president hoover for not being able to do anything about the economy or people.
  • Effect of Banks Losing Money
  • NO MONEY!!!!!!! NO MONEY!!!!!! NO MONEY!!!!!
  • Unfortunately though, the banks lost money and out of fear, crowds of people went to withdraw their money from their accounts. This was bad because there was no money left and no one was able to get their money back.
