  • Eddie is confused why he is at Ruby Pier and why it looks like how it looked 75 years ago. Eddie sees the blue man and he almost forgot about him if it wasn't for his skin. Eddie meets Joseph (the Blue Man) and he teachers Eddie his first lesson.
  • The Blue Man tells Eddie that he killed him by running across the street to get a ball and the Blue Man had swerved to miss Eddie and he eventually dies.
  • The Blue Man teaches Eddie that everything happens for a reason. There are no random events in life. All lives and experiences are connected in some way and what you do may affect other people's lives and experiences.
