- this is showing how much Geroge cares for Lenni, he is stopping him from hurting his stomach, this shows him being a true friend
- Companionship
- Candy is telling Lenni to get out because he has never really talked to anyone so its weird for him to have someone in his house, and he thinks Lenni is just being nosy
- Powerlessness
- This is George and Lenni talking about how they want to own there own farm, and raise animals and all Lenni wanted was the Rabbits
- Barriers
- You can't be in here
- this is when there trying to kill candys dog and he doesn't want them to, and this is companionship because he is his friend and is not trying to kill him because they are friends
- no no he is my best friend, ive had him my whole life
- just put him out of his misery
- This is when George kills Lenni, he has no choice but to kill him because he would die anyways and this was a way to put him out
- This is when candy kicks her out to the barn when candy and Lenni are in there, and this shows that women aren't aloud to do anything, other than do house work
