- Mercutio teases Romeo about his fancy disappearance last night. 
- Lord Capulet gave his blessing for Count Paris to marry his daughter, Lady Juliet, behind her back. 
- Lady Juliet is found "dead" in her chambers the morning of the marriage between her and Count Paris. The family weeps and the bridegroom mourns his passed bride.
