Back in the day my life and times with Tupac Shakur Mohammad Jaber
Book starts with their childhood teacher asking the class everyone has answered "What do you want to be when you're older". Going around the class "a fireman" "a doctor" ,but Tupac replied saying "a revolutionary". Turns out Tupac was a revolutionary.
"I don't know yet"
What do you all want to be when you grow up?
Intro: On September 6th ,1996, I heard the news that Tupac had been shot. Listening to the radio I couldn't believe that he had been shot again feeling helpless and being forced to accept the possibility that this time he could die.
NO WAY HE GOT SHOT AGAIN WHAT IF HE DIES THIS TIME!
I can't sleep. I need to tell his truth.
Relentlessly, I was haunted by this presence that wouldn't let me be. I could feel him everywhere. Not able to sleep at night I started to devote 100% of my attention to the research and writing, employing all of my mental and physical energy to tell his truth.
"Tell my storrryyyyyyy"
Zorian is known for the king of rap battles and when we heard this new kid named Tupac was actually pretty good I wanted to set up a battle between them becuase word was that Tupac was really good.
I'm telling you Zorian this Tupac kid sounds serious let's set up a battle.
Ok set it up and I'll face him.
Zorian and Tupac stayed after in the cafeteria and rap battled.
People seemed to always act and react negatively toward Tupac. I would later see the same look in response neither Mouse' nor I can explain it, but it was something very real that we witnessed many times throughout our travels with him
