  • In the beginning we can see that Doodles character isn't fully developed . This will impact him seriously not only physically ,but mentally as well. As we go more and more into the story we can see that Doodles brother the narrator is ashamed of his brother and this really impacts him. This scene is the outside and you can see one of the parts of foreshadow, the bleeding tree.
  • In the middle part of the book, we can see a Scarlet Ibis die. This was one of the most important parts of this book. This is the main way of foreshadowing shown in the story. The narrator and Doodle find the Scarlet Ibis almost dead and then in the moment Doodle gets upset. This bird is foreshadowing because of the death part and the fact that its red and red relates to the blood.
  • In the end Doodle is eventually pushed to his limit and killed by the attempt of trying his best to run. All his life he couldn't run or walk perfect and his brother (the narrator) had always been ashamed of that, so all of Doodle's life when he got older the narrator taught him how to walk. As we read in the story one night he was pushed too far and died sadly.
