  • Etruscan influence of Engineering
  • Rome is the capital city of Italy. Rome is surrounded by 2 mountains called, Alps and Apennines. Rome is also surrounded by three body's of water making it a peninsula.
  • Etruscan Influence of Sports
  • The Myth of Romulus and Remus is these two twin brother that got abandoned by their parents and then raised by wolves and then found by shepherds. Romulus and Remus built Rome and then started to fight about who to name it after. As they fought Romulus killed his brother and then became the ruler of Rome.
  • Greek influence of Architecture
  • Two important structures that the Romans adapted to were the arch and cuniculus. Etruscan arches rested on two pillars. A cuniculus was a long underground trench connected by vertical shafts to the ground above.
  • Greek Influence of Writing, Art, and Religion
  • The Romans also adapted to two sporting events from the Etruscan's. Slave fighting, Two slaves of the dead master fought to the death with swords and small shields. After being congratulated, the winner was executed. Also gladiator fighting which is professionally trained fighters who battled either each other or wild animals.
  • The Romans adapted to marble constructed temples as home for their gods. The Romans used Greek designs in their own public buildings. Eventually, they learned to use concrete to create even larger structures. 
  • the Greek alphabet was adopted and then changed by the Etruscan's. The Romans then borrowed and altered the Etruscan alphabet. The Greeks carved important documents, such as laws and treaties, into bronze or stone plaques, some of which were displayed in the public squares.
