when Poland revealed against the USSR in 1980. it led for workers to protest and demands change for Poland. The workers and the roman catholic church supported the trade union also known as solidarity which was led by Walesa.
The polish regime agrees to free parliamentary elections. In December 1990. Welsea was chosen as president. He was going to direct Poland on the right path. however was not an easy one. Rapid free-market reform led to unemployment and popular discontent.
At the end of 1995, Aleksander Kwasniewski, a former Communist, defeated Walesa and became the new president. He continued Poland’s move toward an increasingly prosperous free market economy.
