The role of soccer law
In professional matches, a fourth official is also involved. The referee enforces the laws of the game, awarding free-kicks if there is any foul play and keeping a check on the time.
The standard length of a regulation soccer game is 90 minutes. This consists of two 45-minute periods separated by a half-time break. The half-time break can last as long as 15 minutes. A game can be either in the morning or night.

The start and restart of play
At a dropped-ball, play is restarted by the referee dropping (not bouncing) the ball at the place where it was when play was stopped, unless it was within a goal area, in which case it should be dropped on the goal area line that is parallel to the goal line, and at a point nearest to where it was when play was stopped.
