  • After deciding a topic for our Quality of Life issue, we do research on it and fill the info we find into an organizer called an annotated bibliography. It organizes background info on the author, the database, and important information found.
  • I like it!
  • Figure out a field research question
  • Do teenagers in New York City know the health risks of using e-cigarettes?
  • After finishing the research portion of the topic, William and I created a knowledge gap question that is; "Is there misconceptions with e-cigarettes that adolescents think it is healthier than traditional cigarettes?"
  • Survey results
  • When Mr. Rader informed William and I to contact and expert to include into our background paper for our issue, we got responses from PAVe and youth vaping (nonprofit) and Leah Ranney (professional), who we included into the paper.
  • Mr. Rader had informed our class to find a field research question based on our knowledge gap and background paper. We are going to create a survey based on the question and need at most 15 questions relating to the question to find what we are looking for.
  • After William and I created a survey asking the questions we need in order to answer the field research question, we created a tracker to record who took the survey and their answers to the questions asked.
