  • What, shall I find you here?
  • Lepidus, go you to Caesar’s house Fetch the will hither, and we shall determine How to cut off some charge in legacies.
  • Act IV Scene 1

  • Anthony converses with Octavius and complains about Lepidus. He believes that he is not worthy of his position. Anthony alludes to the fact that he will use Lepidus later down the line.
  • Act IV Scene 3
  • Brutus is camped up with his army when Cassius arrives with his army. Cassius begins to argue with Brutus in front of the soldiers but Brutus quickly asks him to calm himself in front of the troops. They head into the tent to hold a conference.
  • Act IV Scene 3
  • Thy Evil Spirit, Brutus
  • In the tent Cassius states that Brutus insulted his character. Brutus condemned a man named Lucius Pella for taking bribes, But Cassius had written letters supporting Lucius so now it looks bad on him. Their argument begins to become more hostile and personal
  • After long arguments about money and who the better soldier is Brutus and Cassius clasp hands and attempt to cooperate because they are friends and will need each other to defeat Antony.
  • Brutus and Cassius agree to meet Antony and Octavius armies at Philippi. But in his sleep Brutus sees the ghost of Caesar who tells him that he and all of the conspirators will die at Philippi.
