- Act IV Scene 1
- I do consent.
- Your brother too must die. Consent you, Lepidus?
- These many, then, shall die; their names are#160;pricked.
- Act IV Scene 1
- You may do your will,But he’s a tried and valiant soldier.
- This is a slight, unmeritable man,
- Act IV Scene 2
- What now, Lucilius, is Cassius near?
- He is at hand, and Pindarus is come#160;To do you salutation from his master.
- Octavius, Antony, and Lepidus are all in a house in Rome discussing what senators to kill as well as Caesar's will. They will form the second Triumvirate.
- Act IV Scene 2
- Most noble brother, you have done me wrong.
- Antony sends Lepidus off to get Caesar's will. He discussed with Octavius how Lepidus should not be in the Triumvirate.
- Act IV Scene 3
- Let me tell you, Cassius, you yourself Are much condemned to have an itching palm, To sell and mart your offices for gold To undeservers.
- At Brutus's camp Lucilius, Brutus's servant tells him that Cassius is arriving shortly#160;
- Act IV Scene 3
- Thy evil spirit, Brutus
- Cassius arrives with his army and begins to insult Brutus in front of everyone. Brutus tells him to take it inside to the tent as not to demoralize the army.
- Judge me, you gods! Wrong I mine enemies?And if not so, how should I wrong a brother?
- Brutus and Cassius argue about many points. Cassius thinks that Brutus insulted him by condemning Lucius for taking bribes, Brutus requests that Cassius brings him gold but Cassius denied him, and about battle plans. They eventually make up and decide to attack Octavius and Antony at Philippi.
- I an itching palm?You know that you are Brutus that speaks this,Or, by the gods, this speech were else your last.
- While Brutus sleeps he sees the ghost of Caesar. The ghost tells him that he will see Brutus at Philippi
- Why com’st thou?
- To tell thee thou shalt see me at Philippi.
