  • Hector and Achilles prepared to fight as King Priam, Helen, Paris, and Andromache watched from the towers of Troy. Andromache was upset because Hector had told her that if he died, she would have to return home through a secret passage. Paris and Helen would be forced to accompany her because Paris needed to protect the city. If Hector died, King Priam would rule as king, and Paris would take over as prince.
  • Achilles prepared to face Hector. As Achilles prepared to kill Hector, Hector began to breathe rapidly, as if he was going to die at that moment. Andromache looked at him, and a single tear streamed down her cheek and onto the tower's floor.
  • When the fight began, Hector was as nervous as a horse about to leap over a hoop. Achilles made the first move, followed by Hector. They continued to attack each other, attempting to kill each other. Achilles kicked Hector in the leg, but he got up.
  • Achilles suddenly took his sword and stabbed Hector in the shoulder. Achilles stabbed Hector in the heart once more, and Hector fell to his knees. That was the promise, and Hector had to keep it. Achilles, on the other hand, would never do the same thing.
  • Achilles got a rope, tied Hector's feet together, and dragged him around the perimeter of the area. Everyone, including Andromache, was devastated that their prince had died. She began sobbing as Helen of Troy tried to console her, despite the fact that Hector's death was Helen's fault.
  • Andromache was distraught and refused to speak to anyone. She had lost her life's love. For a long time, she could never forget the times she and Hector spent together.
