- John F. Kennedy announce the Embargo Act of 1962 which stops all trade with Cuba in which puts Cuba in a struggling position as a country and they have overall struggle as a country ever since the act.
- Overall til this the United States have sanctions on Cuba in which there are not a lot of negotiations between both countries.
