- Have you heard of the great pacific Garbage Patch?
- That sounds bad! where does the garbage come from?
- The Great Pacific Garbage Patch is essentially a large island of plastics and microplastics and also other items of garbage. Caused by pollution in the ocean. it is situated in the pacific ocean
- That sounds appalling. What sea life is effected.
- It is caused by littering both on the beach and here inland. Sadly plastic can reach the patch from here at FDMC.
- Animals like Dolphins, Turtles and many other species of fish are killed and injured by the pollution. We need to make sure this comes to a stop.
- I agree. I hope we can teach everyone about climate change
- We need to make students to pick up their own litter and teach them about environmental issues like the GPGP. That way FDMC can do our part to stop climate change.
