- Mr white and Herbert were playing chess. With the cozy vibe and while waiting for Sargent -Major Morris After the match heavy footsteps came toward the door.

- When Morris arrives they start talking about his past in India and then Mr.white said that he wants to go there but Sargent replied better where you are, when the heard the name of the Monkey's paw they were interested they started to make fun of it so Herbert said that he should wish for 200 pounds to pay to house off , Mr.white later did the wish while playing the piano.

- Mr white and his wife find out Herbert died. and as compensation the place he died at gives the family two.hundred pounds,which they wished for .After that they try to wish that their son gets back but instead he comes as a monster so they wish for him dead again.
