"'Old shipmates, friends, the rest of you stand by; I'll make the crossing in my own ship, with my own company, and find out what the mainland natives are." (73)
Stab him in the eye so he can't see us escape under the sheep.
I will curse you and your whole life!
''How do you like the beating that we gave you, you damned cannibal?''(377)
At the beginning of the chapter, we see Odysseus be more of a leader by leading his crew onto the island where they meet a cyclops.
Because Odysseus and his men are stuck in the cave with the Cyclops, they stab the cyclops in the eye so they can hide underneath the sheep without being found.
Odysseus changed at the end of the story by boasting his dominance over the Cyclops, which in turn made the cyclops place a curse on Odysseus.
