  • In the Byzantine empire the western and eastern sides were pretty separated. Which caused them to think in different beliefs. The Eastern Orthodox church believed in the holy spirit coming from god.  
  • We love Constantinople! 
  • Because of this they then started arguing until soon they divided. Into the Roman Catholic Church in the West, and the Eastern Orthodox Church in the East. The Roman Catholic Church believed the holy spirit come from God and Jesus.

  • Justinian like Augustus was a savior for the Byzantine empire. He made the empire strong and powerful, and was very generous. He also fixed confusing Roman laws and worked hard to settle differences in the Empire.
  • All hail Turkey!
  • Constantinople was the capital of the empire. It  was a sprawling city. It influenced Christianity and was a christian like empire. They also had control of most trade throughout the continent. 
  • After Justinian died in 565 there was a large dept the empire had to pay, and also there was also plague that spread and caused many death's. As well as that there boarders were constantly attacked by Islam.
  • Then soon in 1453 Constantinople was surrounded  by all sides , and then the the Ottoman Turks came in for a finale attack. They went and sacked and conquered the town and by night Constantinople was then controlled by them.
