The assassination of Franz Ferdinand

- Franz Ferdinand, next in line for throne, and his wife Sophie visited Sarajevo, Bosnia to inspect the armed forces
- A group of 6 teenagers traveled to Saravejo with the mission of assassinating Franz Ferdinand. Each had a poison they promised to swallow once they attacked
- At one point Cabriolvic, one of the 6 assassins, had tried to throw a grenade whilst they were driving past
- However, it bounced off the target's car and onto another. He attempted to take the poison but at this point it was too old and stopped working so he was taken to jail
- When they went back to visit the bomb victims, the driver turned down the wrong street. A street where Princip happened to be on and was able to shoot Ferdinand and his wife.
- All plotters got caught and taken to jail except Mehmadbasic. They were all too young for the death penalty although whoever organized Ferdinand's death was hanged.
