AT The beginning there was a changed in the atmopheric free oxygen in 717-635 MA. With this happening it caused everything on Earth to freeze, and to be coverd with Ice. There were tiny ice crystals that were covering the earth, plus Gale-Force winds. Geologists saw evidence that Earth had glaceriation even in the warm parts of Earth. Which led them to believe in the event Snow Ball Earth.
Everyone is freaking out at this moment because the earth is basically covered in nothing, but Ice. No one knows what to do because we they have never experienced this before, so all they can do is try to stay calm, and maybe it will eventually pass. Of course it's ok to worry about yourself, but we also have to worry about different organisms and there ecosystems. From what I can tell you is that there were probably just bacteria, protists, and unicellular organisms, plus there were many ecosystems may have been more isolated from one another and with this just maybe higher proportion of these multicellular altruists to establish a foothold.
We had nothing that could help us out from this event, but out of nowhere came our very good friend Volcanoes which did life on earth a big favor. They decided to relaese CO2 into the Earth's atmosphere, and it warmed the planet. We owe volcanoes a huge favor because they saved us through a time of wrecking. We had great scientists that could actually see sea-level rise in deposits rocks –typically found in warm, shallow seas. Wait I forgot one big key we also had Global warming which I never thought would actually help until now.
I thought everything was over, and people can now have a good life because the worldwide snowball Earth is over, but then came something that really no one expected to happen during the period. With the help of tectonic plates they decided to mark an end to one of the long-lasting mountains in the period. The Pan-African. This world disaster occurred when the two blocks of the former supercontinent Rodinia collided with a craton which now is known as Congo, plus Pan- African couldn’t be considered a single orogeny, so they had to open and close several large oceans and the collisions of several continental blocks the only good thing that came from this was it created a new region in Africa.
That's the end folks. This is everything that happend during the late Neoproterozic Era. There's was a lot that happened to our Earth during this time, but we got through it.
