Make me a maze, I will not tell you the use for it but I will pay you great money!
You cannot leave Crete because you might tell people how to escape the maze ... I will keep you in the top of my cast!le
You can't keep us here! You are holding us hostage!
I'm ok with staying in a castle!
I'm not sure how I like this castle anymore.
I tried telling you...
Setting-CreteCharacters-Daedalus, Icarus, King Minos, King Minos asked Daedalus and Icarus to build him a maze but didn't tell them the use for it.
Remember son, Don't fly too high or the wax on your wings will melt. Don't fly too low or you might drown
King Minos finally told Daedalus and Icarus the use for his maze, but told them they couldn't leave Crete for fear of telling people how to escape through the maze . King Minos then told them they would live at the top of his castle.
I'm flying!!! Woo hooo!!
King Minos held Daedalus and Icarus captive and didn't let them leave. Daedalus and Icarus were treated like royalty throughout the day but were treated as prisoners through the night.
Help!!! I'm falling my wings are melting
Daedalus thought of ways to get out of "prison" and he finally thought of a way to get out of Crete. With his son's idea, He built bird wings so they could fly out of Crete. He started buildings the wings with old bird feathers and wax from a candle.
In the joy and excitement of flying. Icarus forgets his father's advice and soars too close to the sun, causing his wings to melt.
Don't fly too close to the sun, Icarus.
Icarus wings fall apart.and he plummets to his death and drowns in the sea below.
